Before "Blue" scents, before "Sport" scents, and before modern colognes, there was Bay Rum.

It is the scent of sailors, barbers, and bootleggers. It is the original masculine fragrance.

But somewhere along the way, Bay Rum got cheap. Mass-market versions started using synthetic fragrance oils that smell like pumpkin spice lattes or red hots candy.

We fixed it.

Our Limited Edition Bay Rum is a return to the authentic West Indies tradition. We use Real Bay Leaf Oil, aged with a kick of Clove, a zest of Citrus, and a hint of warm spice. It is sharp, invigorating, and unapologetically masculine.

The Base: Formula T (Tallow) We paired this classic scent with our legendary Formula T base. This is old-school shaving science.

• The Tallow: Animal fat (tallow) creates a density and slickness that vegetable oils just can't match. It creates a "cushion" so thick you can barely feel the blade.
• The Shea Butter: We overload the formula with Shea to ensure that when you rinse the soap off, your skin feels moisturized, not tight.
• The Lather: Whipping this soap produces a dense, mahogany-rich lather that stays stable for the entire shave.

Why is this Limited? Authentic Bay Oil is difficult to source and varies wildly in quality. We only brew a batch when we can get our hands on the "good stuff." This is a small batch release. Do not wait.

Ingredients

Stearic Acid, Water, Tallow, Coconut Oil, Potassium Hydroxide, Glycerin, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter), Essential Oils, Sodium Hydroxide.

How to Lather

1. Bloom: (Optional) Pour a small amount of hot water on top of the soap puck while you shower to soften the surface.
2. Load: Swirl your damp brush on the soap for 20-30 seconds until the bristles are coated in a thick, pasty proto-lather.
3. Build: Move to your face or a bowl. Add water slowly, a few drops at a time, while whipping.
4. Shave: Paint your face with the dense, slick lather.

Bay Rum

Primary Notes: West Indies Bay Leaf, Lime, Clove.

The Vibe: A true classic, untouched by time. We based our formula on a two-century-old recipe to capture the authentic spirit of the trade winds. It evokes the atmosphere of an old-school barber chair or a Caribbean ship’s deck. It is spicy, boozy, and rich with history.

The Profile: We went truly old school with this blend. Using only essential oils, this is what Bay Rum is supposed to smell like—no synthetic candy notes here. The star is the West Indies bay leaf, supported by the warmth of rum, cinnamon, and allspice. A splash of lime cuts through the spice for a sharp finish.

Who It’s For: The Traditionalist. This is the scent of grandfathers and gentlemen. If you believe wet shaving is an art form and respect the heritage of grooming, Bay Rum is the only choice.
