The Grade: Best Badger "Best Badger" is the tactical middle ground of shaving hair. It offers a softer face feel than "Pure" badger but maintains a semi-strong backbone that "Silvertip" often lacks. It creates a wall of lather, gently exfoliates the skin, and holds enough water to complete a 3-pass shave without reloading.

I've had this brush for almost a year & a half, and have compared it to a few top-notch brushes. This brush is the boss!
There is something about this brush that makes it outperform the competition: the bristles have soft tips & are densely packed making it easy to load & work tallow soaps into thick, creamy, slick lather, it's dense but still has great lather release unlike some dense lather hogs, it has good backbone but also has nice splay, the knot size is just right, the handle is comfortable & deft, and it just has a classic & classy look. By far my favorite brush...I'm actually giving my other brushes away.
