Totally agree with others that it is well worth the full price or more. I would compare it to highly rated and my best brush, the Seville, but a smaller version.

I have moved on from well worn in Omega boar brushes, which I loved. To synthetic Plissoft brushes, which I loved more. I was happy with the synthetics, and thought I would stay there. One day I haphazardly stumbled on this Duchess brush for sale, and didn't buy it. Over the period of 2 months, I kept coming back to look at it, and that was it. Finally, on a whim, due to the sale price, I bought it. I have used it a few times now, and I am BLOWN AWAY with how much superior of a brush this is to anything else I have ever tried. This is brush is waaaay softer than any plissoft I own, and creates a richer lather in shorter time. It does not have the backbone of my old boar brushes, but it does have some backbone. No wet mop here. I cannot believe that I have waited this long to have a quality silver tip badger brush. I would have been very happy paying full price for this brush. With the sale price, this brush is the steal of the decade. This has been my first experience with WSP and it has been very positive. I have since purchased some shaving soap and aftershave splash due to the high quality of this brush.

I have badger, boar, and other synthetic brushes. The handle on this brush is very nice, and the synthetic fibers lather soaps and creams like a champ. The best part, living in a humid climate, is how quickly this dries. My natural brushes take over 24 hours to dry (I make sure brushes dry completely before using them again... I don't know if it helps the brush last, but it works for me).

I have been using expensive badger hair brushes for more than 10 years and have never been more pleased with a brush than I am with this one. It took two shaves to get used to the full density of a a new brush again, especially this dense one, but now love its' ability to hold lather and softness when wet and warm. You can't go wrong at this discounted price. Excellent brush.

This is a great brush, very full dense head and nice weight - Much nicer than a more expensive Vulfix that I own. It holds water well and makes lathering easy. Much easier than the previous synthetic brush I was using. The only hesitation I have for giving it a full five stars is the fact the the shape is lopsided. It is not because it was sitting funny, it is obvious that the bristles were a little off when the knot was formed. I would expect a little better for such an otherwise high quality brush.

I love the weight and shape of this brush. After a week of using it, I like that the bristles are firm, but soft to the face. Does a great job of working up a lather.

I've purchased a couple of Synthetic Brushes from other Vendors. This is by far the best. Most other ones have a smaller fiber knot. This one is the closest to a Silvertip Badger Brush. Their description of "not floppy" is definitely correct. It is a little stiff, but very soft. What I mean is you have to be a little gentle in moving the brush back and forth across your face. It can flip and throw some lather. That just takes a little adjustment in your lathering technique. The price is very competitive with other Synthetic Brushes also. I'm actually thinking of buying another one in case WSP stops making it. I alternate this brush every other day with the other WSP High Mountain White Brush I own. As much as I like the High Mountain one, when it goes I'll probably stay with the Synthetic.

The only Con is that, and this is a common negative on Synthetic Brushes, it does not retain heat at all. You have to "flash" thru the Hot Water every lather to warm up.

This is a follow-up to my Oct. 19 post. I used this brush in my regular brush rotation using WilliamsMug and WSP Formula T. It works very well on both. I prefer the Silverton badger brushes, but this synthetic is close, and less expensive.

If I had switched to this brush from a boar hair brush, instead of a badger, I probably would not have tried a badger.

I alternate between a Parker silvertip badger (25mm knot) and WSP "Earl" silvertip badger brush. I wanted a travel brush that would provide a good lather but dry quickly. I compared the WSP synthetic to the WSP Earl using WSP rustic and Williams Mug Shaving Soap (which I have used since the 1970s. The Earl gives a richer and thicker lather, but the synthetic is not too far behind when using the Rustic. The Earl is definitely better when using the Williams, but I suspect that if I used the synthetic on the Williams for about a week, I would develop the correct technique regarding getting the correct soap/water ratio, since Williams requires a lot of water. I will keep using the synthetic brush and WSP Formula T (which I prefer to the Rustic) when I travel, and will use the real badger brushes and Williams at home. I finished my tin of Rustic.

I highly recommend this brush. It is soft, lathers the soap well, applies it to the face well and dries quickly. This would be a great brush for someone starting out using a shaving brush. They might never be tempted to try a badger brush. It will not replace my silvertip badger brushes, however.

I have used this brush 3 times. So far, I have not lost ONE single strand of hair (not in the bowl nor on my face). To me, that is incredible. Second, the brush is very thick, but quite soft. It is very comfortable to spread cream on my face. I have not used with my WSP sample soaps that I purchased yet. I have only used with Proraso shave cream in a tube and it works great (great lather in a shaving bowl). I highly recommend. I probably will end up purchasing a second one since I like it so much.

Looks like silvertip but doesn't generate lather like a silvertip. This is no bargain because it is hardly better than a boar bristle brush. You get what you pay for.

After using a cheap boar hair brush and even cheaper Rick Harrison DE razor for several years I decided to take the plunge and get a badger silver tip. MAN I didn't know what I was missing! Shaving is actually enjoyable again! Thank you Lee for some great products! You've earned a customer for life! BTW after more than 30 shaves I've only seen ONE stray hair.

I've finally given up. After over 4 months of use, this brush continues to leave bristles on my face upon lathering. Not to mention the ones left in my soap tin. I love WSP products and have purchased enough soap to last a lifetime, but I can't force myself to leave a better review of this brush. Aside from loosing bristles, it's got a nice firm/soft balance. I wish it were a smidgen more firm, but maybe the Prince is the firmer-option so I wont let that impact my review. I've actually switched to my $7 boar as it performs as well.

Wonderful brush - a replacement for a Shavemac - just enough backbone, velvety soft but not floppy. Great handle in faux ivory with real grain; as an aside, this is the only brush I have ever purchased that had no trace of brush funk - perfect right out of the box. Won't be my last, and I have another Shavemac on borrowed time....

This brush cannot be beat as it is heaven on the face lather. very good backbone for a Synthetic. Soft yet the tips have just the right amount of exfoliate to make the brush superior. Also good for bowl or cup lather. Lee hit the nail on the head with this brush.

Admittedly I'm not a big fan of synthetic brushes, although I've tried several. Like most things there's both good and not so good qualities. This brush strikes a very nice balance of performance and proportion. Easily wins "best of breed" in my den, and is now paying its own way. Well done!

I travel a lot And wanted a brush that died quickly. About three months ago while visiting WSP I purchased this brush. I love it I would have given it 5 stars but it was a bit softer than than I like. It loads great with soap or cream. All I can say is buy it.

This is my first silvertip brush. All I can say is, "Where have you been all my shaving life?" This brush is extremely soft and makes mountains of lather. The instruction card that came in the box said that it is common for the brush to lose some hairs during the first few weeks of shaving. I have yet to see a stray hair fall out of this brush. After 3 weeks of using this product, the bristles begin to fall out... now the bristles are starting to get in the way as they seem to be falling off on my face... extremely disappointing as I love the rest of the products I have purchased...
