The Vibe: Deep, woody, and a little bit dangerous. One customer’s wife described it simply as "sensual, woody, and spicy." It strikes the perfect balance between sweet and rugged, evoking the feeling of walking through a dense, ancient forest.
The Profile: A complex fragrance for those who want to stand out. The foundation is a robust note of mahogany and cedar, providing a heavy wood base. We then accented it with warm allspice and vanilla to add a touch of sweetness, before rounding it out with bergamot and patchouli. It is spicy, sexy, and incredibly distinct.
Who It’s For: The Rugged Romantic. This is for the man who is just as comfortable in a flannel shirt as he is in a tailored suit—provided he smells distinct. Dispense a small amount into your palm.
Warm it between your hands.

Better than chain store brands! Leaves skin and beard soft
I like Mahogany! A difficult one to describe. This one falls under my "heavier" scent profiles, tending towards the musky side of the spectrum. I'm not typically a heavy scent guy, but this is good. I catch what I can only describe as a sweet woody smell with maybe hints of tobacco, smoke (good smoke like it was laced with a sweet liqueur), and something else. Almost a roasted sugar and caramel something-or-other. Careful though, a little bit goes a long ways. I've described before that I use 3-4 shakes of the bottle of Gaelic Tweed, but this stuff I dare only use what would equate to 2 shakes. I'm still rocking a sample vile I purchased and I'll be getting easily three applications from it. I think however because it's as strong as it is that I just can't get what I'd consider a "full" oil application and it tends to loose a good amount of it's moisturizing oil properties by early afternoon. It's still there, mind you. I just can't use the amount I normally would with a softer scented oil just because I'd be way overloaded with Mahogany. Now, the cologne-esque scent property you get will last you though the whole day with just a modest amount, no question.
I'd almost suggest using this for particular occasions, but with most other scents in the WSP lineup you'll get away with it any time, really. It just seems more suited for something more gentlemanly than cruising on a skateboard or cutting the grass.
Never gave much thought into beard oils and balms until I ran into the WSP booth at a local show. Love the variety they have. The Mahogany is definitely one of my favorites. A very distinctive aroma. You can’t go wrong with all of their products. Thanks again!!
I've only purchased two samples of this product, but I have to say, it has one of the most unique scents I have ever experienced. I love the owners description of this, but if I had to piggyback on the description, I'd say it gives off a feeling of being in downtown New York City, in a rustic old swing/jazz club, that's velvety smoky, with hints of bourbon, whiskey and old, fine Italian Nappa leather. Very exquisite. Only to be used on certain occasions or when you really want to make a presence. Nice job Lee.
