i’ve been using the gaelic tweed beard oil for so many years and the consistency is always on point. when i lived in phoenix, i would shop at the brick and mortar store. for the last 10 years i’ve lived all over the country and still order this beard oil because local products don’t even come close to wet shaving products.
This has to be one of my top podium finishers in the WSP line-up. This is a wonderful scent for any occasion. Not quite as "light" as a Matterhorn scent, but right there. It's just got a slightly heavier scent profile, but still not a musk. Far from it. I imagine a walk on cobblestones through a green covered pasture with heavy green top forests bordering a rock wall covered in ivy...a little particular, but I just think it's difficult to nail it down. It's just good. Handsome. Refined.
A mans scent. I want to wear a 3 piece suit with this stuff. Or cargo shorts and a t-shirt. It works with everything.
I typically use 3-4 shakes of Gaelic Tweed and the scent isn't too strong. It's very noticeable, but I don't find it too overpowering. I have what one might consider the "Athletic Beard", not long, but far from stubble. The oil seems to hold on for quite some time and the scent doesn't die down too much throughout the day.

I only started using beard products last Nov when I began to grow my beard out for the first time. All the products which I’ve sampled have been horrible with one or two exceptions. WSP beard oil is the only oil I’ve liked using. It is light, easily absorbed, and noticeably softens my graying (whitening) beard hairs with no oily/greasy feel. I love this product as much as the shave soaps if not more. I’m looking forward to trying the beard balm as well.
There are beard oils out there that go for ridiculous prices that don't work half as well as this product. This is one of those steadfast masculine scents; that once applied I start referring to deer as stags and have a desire to go commando while wearing a plaid skirt.
This scent is amazing and the product works amazing at controlling my frizzy beard. I even use it as a face moisturizer, which has helped to reduce redness and breakouts. It has become a staple in my morning and evening routine.
I have tried close to a dozen beard oils in my time but this stuff is the best. Not only are the scents superior ( I have 3 now.) and last all day but the performance is great as well. Other oils that I have tried from other manufactures seem to remain on the surface and don't soak in to the beard giving it a shiny appearance, glinting in the sun. I am trying to soften my beard not signal high flying aircraft. These oils soak in fast and leave a fantastic scent that lingers though out the day. Perfection in a 1 ounce bottle. Get some and you won't be disappointed.
All beard oils I've tried have been way too heavy leaving an oily residue which later causes me to break out. I decided to give this one a try and I absolutely love it! It's very light, doesn't leave a residue, and the scent (Gaelic Tweed) is balanced lasting at least 4 hours. In fact the first time I used it I got compliments on how good I smelled. Highly recommended.
I bought the two pack deal, and found that I love both of the scents that come in the pack, Gaelic Tweed and Matterhorn. I have a goatee and only need about two shakes into my palm for a nice and smooth all day fragrance. I used to have a LOT of beard dandruff, and when I started using this beard oil it went away. I love how it make my skin feel and it also gives my beard a nice healthy shine. A nice side-effect is that it also keeps my beard area from getting that dry face feeling after a hot shower, and I no longer get face burn on windy days.
The regular price is fantastic, and the two unit deal is beyond amazing. If you have a beard, goatee or stache, you owe it to yourself to give this product a whirl. just a dab will do ya, and it lasts all day, and even into the evening. Nice scent profiles and top notch ingredients make this a do again for me. WSP has fantastic products and Leighton is a very nice fella to deal with.
Next I'm trying the shave oil! Two thumbs up!
