Best Badger is much softer than pure badger, but not as soft as silvertip. It's the best value in terms of softness for your dollar. These best badger knots are extra dense. 50% more hair!
Knots are measured by the size of the hole they will fit into. The plug (the glue base) is 2 mm smaller than the advertised size. So, if you have a 24 mm diameter hole, then you should order a 24mm knot. If you have a 23 mm hole, you can widen the hole to accommodate a 24mm knot, or order a 22 mm knot to drop in with little or no fitment.
